Quantum Energy Services & Technologies

Quantum Energy Services & Technologies (QuEST) is a new kind of energy efficiency firm. With foundations in energy efficiency engineering and program management, QuEST now offers a full spectrum of engineering services required to complete energy projects.

While many firms claim they provide solutions to their customers' every need, QuEST is one of the few that combines program design, management, and implementation with turn-key engineering and construction services, including contractor and construction management. When we state we can cover all of our customers' energy efficiency needs, we truly can from program design all the way through construction and commissioning.

DirectApps has been integrating and developing Internet applications and network solutions since 1995. As a privately owned corporation, we remain completely self-funded and debt-free. Ravelli Group LLC

Jim Ravelli is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in building and managing IT organizations, from start-ups to the Fortune 100. He specializes in Infrastructure design and strategic use of technology and supporting processes. He is considered an expert in the use of virtualization technologies and efficient data center design. He is currently the principal at Ravelli Group LLC, a small consulting firm focused on Green Data Center design, strategic planning and project management.

Most recently, Jim was Vice President of Service Delivery at EasyStreet Online Services, Oregon ’s largest independent MSP provider. Prior to that Jim was at VMware as the Senior Director of Global IT Operations and interim CIO. In that role Jim was responsible for architecture, strategy, process development and support services for all facets of the computing infrastructure. Jim spoke to customers on behalf of VMware and the application and use of virtualization technology.

Prior to VMware Jim spent over 5 years at Brocade Communications as Director of IT and CIO. Jim’s teams were responsible for the worldwide computing infrastructure and applications environment at Brocade. Jim has held several other positions with companies such as Procter and Gamble, James River Corporation, and Mentor Graphics. Jim holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Arizona State University .

Sam S. Gill

Sam S. Gill is a professor and chair of the Information Systems department at San Francisco State University. Dr. Gill's IT career spans five decades of computing from the infant days of MAMRAM, the Israeli Ministry of Defense Computing Center, through his latest professional engagements as a consultant to fortune 1000 companies and state and federal agencies. During this span, Dr. Gill has been involved in several IT start-ups as well as managed several computing centers. Dr. Gill's latest venture was DataWiz Centers, one of the first Microsoft Solution Provider partners and the first Microsoft certified training partner.

Dr. Gill publishes (articles, books, and courseware) and teaches in the planning, architecture, design, development, and implementation of information technology solutions. His current interests include IT methodology for design of Enterprise Architecture; design of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with a Service Level Agreement (SLA); development tools for solutions that include all the latest Microsoft .NET architecture and server components, all the Visual Studio languages; and the Unified Process (UP), Microsoft Solution Framework (MSF), Agile Modeling (AM) development, and Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies.
